Gee I was just dozing and my bed moved, its pitch black and I just know my bed moved but I couldnt, too scared. Its sooo dark as our house backs onto a cemetary, something moved my bed. My son comes down ashen faced, I didnt tell him why I was looking under my bed for the cause of my heart racing and me shaking. He said, mom I was watching amityville and I just know my room moved. er so did mine, so we went to the lounge with a much needed cup of tea to see if anything was happening and it was an earthquake. Well thank goodness for that, we were both terrified, the imagination eh?? I dont think he will be watching anymore scary telly at night, a quick change of underwear, and the quickest TV channel change ever. I didnt tell him that I thought something evil had hopped over the back fence and shook my bed though, there is a logical explaination for everything son. He dont look convinced.

Aaron was terrified, he had the TV on in his room and he really thought something evil was happening to him. He is soo relieved to know what it is. We went ouside wit a torch to see if anything had happened, we put news 24 on and they just said reports of an earthquake just coming in were both quite scared but OK now after a cuppa and a reality check.

My husband and I both jumped out of bed and just stood there! There was stuff coming down the chimney in our bedroom and we stood there staring! Opened the bedroom door apprehensively and there is daughter terrified on the stairs! Went downstairs and had a look around, granddaughters leap pad thingy was talking to itself in understairs cupboard! I'm sat here having coffee as can't sleep! Others back to sleep!

Seems like most of the country felt it. I have just read on google that the epicentre was near Lincoln at 4.7 on the richter scale. I thought it was just round here again.

I am in Birmingham, bet you felt it a lot more, not as bad as the dudley one in 2002, funny I described it the same like a huge lorry had gone past all the windows vibrated . I just woke to the bed shaking and the wardrobe doors rattling. When I googled they were saying it seems that most of the country felt it. Not so bad here last time the neighbours were all hanging out the windows, next door thought his house was falling down. That did a bit of damage in the one road in dudley but they are saying no reports as yet of any damage.
I am on a horlicks now and doing my shopping online I will try to go back to sleep in a bit, wouldnt mind I am on hol from work at the moment but I have to get up for the doctors tomorrow, typical. Never mind .
