My husband and I are 18 months into an IVA and I have just found out I am pregnant. What is likely to happen given that I won't be able to work full time? Would the Creditors write off our debt? My husband is an Accountant so bankruptcy is not an option.

Hi
Congratulations
Speak with your IP and discuss your situation.
They may approach your creditors asking for payments to be reduced or suspended whilst you are on maternity leave.

Do you intend to return to work after the baby is born? If so, then as Andy says a payment break to cover your maternity leave seems the most likely option.

Congratulations Charlotte.
Due to the length of time that an IVA will usually run for this situation is not uncommon and creditors in turn have historically been accommodating towards this.
Contact your IP and run through the details with them.
