If my IVA is accepted how long do I have to make my first payment?
My IVA meeting is 23rd January

I usually ask for it in advance of the meeting, but so long as it is pain within the first month that should be OK. You should ask your own IP what their actual policy is.

Normally 28 days from date of approval. You need to set up a standing order so that you can amend the payment amount to include any additional overtime etc etc - although saying that I have always paid my agreed amount on time, and then made a separate payment of the additional amount so that I can track it better.

Good luck!

Our creditors meeting was held in the middle of the month and we get paid at the end.

Our IP advised us as the meeting was on the 9th, as long as they received payment by the 9th each month it would be fine.

the reason I was asking is because my meeting is tomorrow on the 23rd January...I get paid the 26th of each month. However out of this months wages I have 3 birthdays (which I have kind of bugeted for) but then I have recieved a driving fine, obviously unexpected and stupidly my fault.
If my IVA is accepted do you think that they would let me start paying on the 26th Feb?

That would mean that you would be one month in arrears, so this is not ideal and is another reason why I always ask for the first payment in advance.
