Hi ChrisD
These letters seem to have been doing the rounds lately and are sent by companies trawling the insolvency register.
I have no assets but am in an iva as it was my choice, all the options were fully explained to me at the time but I felt the iva was the best option for me.
If all the options were explained to you and you are happy with your iva, I would throw the letter in the bin[:)]

Chris there have been a lot of posts about this on the forum please look them up. I asked about integrity as my husband and i have received letters from them today. The iva council will have got your details from the insolvency website. They believe that anyone who has no assets would have been better advised to go bankrupt and that a lot of the larger companies are selling iva's and not telling people that bankrupcy may be a better option for them. This is not so in my opinion because some do not want to go bankrupt, some want to pay as much back as they can. If you read their website forum you will see what I mean. Personally as emma said I would bin it. If you are happy in your iva why change. I am happy with mine, my creditors would have got a lot less if I had gone bankrupt and we would probably have had a bit more than we do now, it was my choice.
Only my opinion Chris and all uk bankrupcy, will do is charge you to hold your hand through the bankrupcy procedure which you could do yourself.

Hi
I got one of these letters sent to my office today, don’t know why we are Insolvency Practitioners. Looks to me as though they are looking for business

I was really annoyed with the one from integrity they used my maiden and former married name on the letter all thre surnames. I thought it was not necessary.

I have also received a letter from Integrity today - the name alone makes me think they are not above board.

Where would they have got all of your names from? Surely they are not all listed on the Insolvency Register?

Just checked Melanie, yes they are on there exactly the same current surname followed by previous married name and maiden name in brackets.

Can one be cheeky and ask you when you first got married! I am amazed that that information is listed on the IR.

That's ridiculous! Why on earth do they need to put all that information on the register?

I know I never noticed it before , but just checked and it is there. I looked at a few different names like smith and Jones and there are a few with names in brackets, not necessary at all, I am not happy about it but still.
