Are IVA's based on an individual or can they be a joint policy IE:- with your wife's debts included.

What will happen is that there will be 2 IVA's but linked together so that you can't have one approved and not the other one. THis is described more on my web page www.freeivaadvice.co.uk/Joint_debts.htm

Hi Alan and Welcome,

An IVA is as its name states "Individual", however you can put forward a proposal as husband and wife which will still be voted on individually but classed as an interlocking proposal as you share the disposable income.
