Hi

I have been in an IVA for nearly a year now, however I need to clear my IVA before I qualify in my job (in 2 and half years).

I was just wondering if I "uped" my payments each month, would it enable me to terminate the IVA quicker? I am considering getting a job with a lot more pay so, if I get the job, I will be able to pay about £500 a month extra.

Also, whilst writing, I would be grateful if you would please advise me how easy it is to get a mortgage once the IVA is complete?

Kind regards

Nadine

What are you studying for, and who is it telling you that you have to conclude the IVA by the time you qualify?

Increasing your payments will not affect the length of time of the IVA, unless you are able to effect a full repayment - ie 100p in the £.

It is fairly easy to get a mortgage once an IVA has been finalised.
