i have signed into an iva for approx £60.000
Can I become a company director

Hi Ronald and welcome. To the best of my knowledge you can be a company director in an iva but not in bankrupcy.
Wait for other answers though to confirm that I am right.

Yes - but you will need to inform your IP of this appointment, and if you are to also be a shareholder of the company, you will need to produce accounts each year as part of the annual review process.
Also make sure that you do not give any personal guarantees to limited company creditors without the permission of your Supervisor.

You may also have problems with banking arrangements as well.
This will depend on who the other directors are as well.
