Hi I successfully secured an IVA in september 2007 which was a tremendous boost. The question I have is would my wife be able to apply for an IVA, she has unsecured debts of approximately £18k the loans are being repayed but the credit cards only the monthly repayments are being made.

Hi dnj, and welcome to the forum.
I believe that your wife should be able to enter into an IVA (if I'm wrong here someone please correct me). Were the debts included in your IVA in your name only?
Kind regards,

Hi
If she is able to pay the contractual amounts then she is not insolvent so an IVA would not be viable. However if she is using credit to pay credit each month and is effectively getting deeper into debt without buying goods then she may be insolvent.
Please post further details

Your wife will be able to put forward her own IVA, but this will have to be completely separate from yours. If you are happy with the service provided by your own IP, it generally would make sense for her to use the same provider.
