kevan, my IP told me from the date of the getting accepted it remains on my credit record for 6 years.
THEN I went to: http://www,cccs.co.uk/media/2006/TroubleTotal2006 and was surprised. The author states on page 4, from the time of the IVA(regardless of the duration) being completed it stays on for a FURTHER 6 sixs. That makes it a total of 11 years on your credit files if the IVA was 5 years in duration. Helen, the author of this report was in error.
Dominic, others here and my IP are correct. CCCS made a big mistake.
All I have left is my humour.

Hello,
A note will be put on your credit file alerting potential lenders to the fact that you have entered the agreement.
This note will remain on your credit file for a total period of six years (i.e. normally one year longer than the duration of the IVA).
Kind regards,
Julia

Julia is quite right. An IVA is registered on your credit file for a period of 6 years from it's inception regardless of whether you pay it off early or not.

I believe that your name will be removed from the regiseter at the same time your IVA is removed from your credit file i.e. 6 years.
Yes an overdraft is likely to be credit scored.

Your name is removed from the IVA Register as soon as the IVA has been finalised - so there is no 6 year wait in this instance.

Kevan,
I am hopefully about to enter into an IVA. Big question is how did you find it? Did you have to scrimp and save for 5 years? How hard was it?
