If i qualified for an IVA, can I go abroad and work there? I'm planning to apply for an IVA now but in two years I may get a job in the US..am I allowed to go there while I continue my IVA repayments? What if I decided to get a mortgage in the US, will my IVA affect my application?

Hi aal

Yes there is no problem with this, so long as you maintain your payments and let your IP have a forwarding address. I have lots of clients who live and work abroad, and you are only a click away these days!

Obtaining a mortgage in the US will require you to disclose your IVA, but you will still need to find deposit as 100% mortgages are rare to impossible over there. Suggest you rent until the IVA is concluded.
