Hi, just after some advice plz...

I've been in my IVA now for 2 and a half years, and it's in my name only, although they do take into account my husbands salary. Hes recently been told that there are alot more hours if he wants them, i rang the IVA people and told them that he was going to be doing all these extra hours and how much of it they would take from us.

They told me that as the IVA is in my name and not my husbands they wouldn't take anything (if it had been me getting the rise they would take 50%)

Does this sound right... our household income will nearly double and they won't take a penny... don't want to spend the money and then get a nasty shock but the lady i spoke to was adamant it was only my overtime they take into account and after trawling through all the paperwork i can see in the terms she's right but i'm having trouble believing it as i always thought different [?]

Hi there and welcome.

Yes it does the iva applies to you not your husband so it should be only your payrises and over time taken into account. Wait for other answers but if that is what your company says then that is how they are looking at it. So good news.

I am suprised that they are not looking to reassess your share towards the household expenditure - but if your IP is happy that they do not need to do this then I would get them to confirm that in writing.
