Any advice on companies offering reasonably priced insurance please. I have just been turned down following one firms credit check, first time this has happened, this refusal is affecting subsequent applications with other companies. Any advice will be welcome.

I did mine as a "tag on" to my car insurance (used the same company) ... not sure if they credit checked, but it went through OK -- that was Direct Line
