My cocker spaniel is poorly, wouldn't eat any breakfast this morning, I've been on a training day all day today at main campus, home just after 4 and he's still very ill, got him in vets at 5.30 and he's had two jabs one antibiotic and one steroid, he's very tender around his tum, his back end is down and tail (docked) tucked under him. He's really not himself bless him. He's got to return to the vets tomorrow evening.

Hope everything will be OK Lesley - it's worse than having a child ill, I think when it is your pooch - as they can't really tell you anything about where it hurts. Will keep fingers crossed for a speedy recovery over the next couple of days.

Glad you managed to get him to the vets Lesley. Was the vet any wiser as to why he was like that?

Thank you all. The vet is unsure Kerri, gave him the antibiotics in case of infection and the steroids in case of inflammation. He really is not himself, I'm keeping them separated tonight but sure I'll get up a few times in the night to check on him anyway.
