With all the talk of the demand of housing forcing it up over the years since late 1990s, well now there is 1 million properties for sale and thats 15 for every one buyer!!!!!!
What shortage?? No shortage, there is s surplus!!!! People are selling up some oldies and buying up new ones all furnished at bargin prices....now thats remortaging with a difference.
That's the start not the end of this Housing debacle. I reckon it will get take 5 years for things to be get back to a new 'low'. In early 1990s when the crash occurred it wasn't until 2003 when the prices picked up.
A new website called housepricecrash.co.uk has been created charting changes in opinions over time.Worth a read......I think been in an IVA now especially if you don't have no property is a godsend??? You won't have to worry about Neg Eq no doubt for the next 5 years. Paying a big % of your income on mortgage for a property that you have no capital gains is definately the thing to avoid. The liquid price of your property in a HIGH INTEREST savings accounts for five years will give you 8% gain. That's simple price economics. Why want to buy now?? Rent!
