I am in an IVA and I am wanitng to join the RAF does this affect my chances in any way.

On your application form it is likely to ask you about your financial position, and you will be subject to security checking which might pick up the fact that you are in an IVA. If asked about the arrangement you just need to be honest about what happened to leave you in financial difficulties - and I am sure it will not affect your application.
