Just to say that life has been incredibly hectic here!
The credit crunch is really hurting hard and I have been involved in a number of business reorganisations!
Hope you are all OK and looking at the site there appear to be the same number of problems!
For those in trouble please hang in there and you are really on the best site!
Take care everyone!
Regards
Ray

Worry best to get to your supervisor to see if you can get a variation done on your IVA!

I think we're all getting towards being in the same boat. We can just about manage on our petrol as long as I only use the car to get to work (about 25 miles round trip), one weekly shop (about 3 miles), and about 10 miles just for odds and sods. Hubbie has had to tell his kids that if they want to see him, they will have to come to us as we can't afford the petrol to drive the 30 miles to see them.
Never thought I would be in this position.

thanks for advise guys,i have only been in my IVA 3 months, end of this month will be the 4th payment. i will give my IP a call and see what they say, its awful, we are all trying to get out of debt and sort our lives out then prices shoot up yet again. feels like everyones doomed to end up in debt eventually, my Brother got hisfirst credit card the other day due to not having enough money each month. he says he wont end up like me but you cant help wondering, he swore he would never get credit when he saw the state i was in but now thats changed, i just hope things dont get to much more expensive.[:(]

I know how you feel Kallis. My grand kids live 200 miles away .... its been 2 years since I last saw them. I doubt if I'll be able to afford to send Xmas/Birthday prezzies bu courier this year, I'll just have to send a little cash and hope my daughter understands.

Worryhead - I would worry about your brother. If he's taken a card because he doesn't have enough money, how's he going to pay for it at the end of the month?
Ray - last Christmas I had to resort to giving vouchers which I had earned by doing surveys because I couldn't afford anything else. This Christmas will be the same. I was always very generous with presents, but not now. Hubbie and I just exchange token gifts.

My hubby and i only been in our iva since Jan 08 and we are struggling as well with all the prices going up my contingency is just being eaten away with nothing left for emergencies . Dont know whats going to happen , but i have rang ip and explained and he is going to look at figures again and see if there is anything he can do .Our petrol has gone up by another £20 per week , as hubby works 8 miles from home and unsocial hours he cant use public transport.
