I am training to become a solicitor. If i take out an IVA will i still be able to practice as a solicitor and/or will the IVA affect my career?

The Law Society will let you qualify as a solicitor if you are in an IVA, but may be reluctant to allow you a practising certificate - which is probably not relevant to you for some time anyway. Once the IVA has concluded there are unlikely to be any restrictions into the future.
