My husband had an IVA 2002/2003 we had been paying it for less than a year, when we asked if we could remortgage the house to pay off debts, we did get a remortgage and made a settlement, how does this affect his credit rating now? and can some of the creditors (the ones that had to make do with less) still come after him/me for their money? the IVA was in his name only

Your credit rating will be impared for 6 years from the date the IVA was accepted.
Were all of the debts in your husbands sole name also?

Look out for when they default you too, this can be after the IVA creditor meeting date, as is the case with me.
I will be writing to the CRA's though to get them to correct this on the 6th Anniversary of my IVA start date.
