I have just had a phone call from an automated message. It asked me if I was over £5000 in debt and was working. they said if I presed 5 they could help me and lose a certain percentage of debt (not in so many words).. I didn't press the button.. just dramt of what it would be like to only have £5000 worth of debt!!
Thats a missold IVA letter and a message.. will my phone number be on insolvency register

I think they are ringing numbers at random as I get them for mobile phones, holidays and to sort out debts.
I'm ex-directory, creditors don't have that number and only close friends and family have the number so there is no way anyone has given it to them.
I'm TPS registered too to stop all marketing calls.

These are marketing companies why have automated systems ( based in India , US or Brighton ) and the computer simply rings the next number in the sequence.
effectively they are dialing the whole UK.
They actually target certain areas of the UK first that are statistically more likely to have a higher debt per head than other areas.
My understanding is that if you press 5 you pay for the call.

Hi All,
I had one of those letters that my IVA could have been the wrong option for me. I've discussd it with B & E and am sending them the letter. For information mine was from Integrity Financial Services, Tel: 0845 955 5289. Strangely i also think they have been phoning my mobile - I don't tend to answer 0845 calls.
I deleted the phone message I had like Angela's - I got that before my IVA was accepted.
Best wishes,
Chardonnay
