Hi All,
Unfortunately it's me again with yet another problem!!
I have been offered a new job back in Bristol whch is where I want to be (and my Doctor agrees it will certainly help with the depression, isolation, stress and loneliness). The problem is the salary is just under £8k lower than where I am now (top line). I will save on travel and expenses as I can live at home and not have to commute for miles.
Do you think the IVA will be at risk if I take it snd my salary goes down?
To complicate things my NHS post has just beenthrough Agenda For Change (Afc - the government's method of modernising pay in the NHS. This is the second post where I've been down graded (it's not just me a substantial number of people are in the same bost) and they say it's not a money saving exercise!!!) and it was down banded to the same salary as the post I've been offered. I wouldn't drop immediately but it will happen by at the latest Oct next year. By then in the new post I would have had a pay rise of about £2k - see my dilema? Stuffed if I do and stuffed if I don't, can't win!!
I will talk to B & E tomorrow but thought some good old friendly advice wouldn't hurt.
All help gratefully accepted,
Hugs,
Chardonnay
