I posted a few days ago about the possibility of maybe looking at emigrating to Oz.
Well I found a site, that you can do a quick check on and filled it in - I wasn't expecting much when it did ask what assets and savings I have...Mmmmm!
Anyway had a reply back today (a standard type e-mail), and it says it is highly unlikely we would be able to emigrate...but if we were willing to pay £95 we could do a full check (yeah to tell me much the same thing).
So yes while you maybe able to live abroad and continue in an IVA, it looks unlikely you will actually be able to get there!
We'll just have to look again maybe when it is all over.
I'm not too surprised or disappointed, just a shame.

That is a shame Kal, maybe when your IVA is over you can look again.

Your IVA has nothing to do with it - nor does any credit related issues.

They have asked about assets etc because it is one way of building your points up if you can't go on a skilled Visa.

If you want an unbiased opinion speak to these guys - http://www.gomatilda.com

They gave me advise without having to pay anything.

touche storm

you saw where i was going.

the only time they ask re money etc is on a "business/retirement" visa.

on a skilled worker visa (sponsored or not) it's not mentioned

and the official oz website is

http://www.immi.gov.au/

good luck and dont believe the ... well you can imagine ;o)
