Would an IVA prevent me getting rented accomodation in the future? I have heard that CCJ and bankruptcy are not acceptable to letting agencies, is an IVA viewed the same?

We are in rented and have been since two months after IVA started. We had to pay six months rents up front plus deposit to secure our flat - this would have been the same with all lettings agents near by - we failed the credit check. Be up front with them and they will help you but be prepared to find six months rent!

I'd echo that,

tell them upfront and sometimes it's not an issue. You can also get a letter from your IP as a ref re IVA payments. Luckily for me my father acted as a guarantor so that was never an issue, however a lot of people on here have been okay with references etc. A few were even okay with the c/check (weirdly enough)

Just be honest and you shouldbe fine
