Is it possible to obtain a joint mortgage whilst one of the joint applicants are currently 4 years into a 5 year IVA agreement?

I would imagine so,but possibly not from a high street lender. A specialist broker may be a better place to look.

Hi lee e

Yes it is as I'm currently doing this at the moment.

I already have a mortgage and have obtained a joint mortgage with a company called Future Mortgages who deal with people in IVAs.

I will say that the LTV has changed quite significantly so you'll only be able to get a mortgage at the moment with a LTV of about 80%.

Future Mortgages and GE Money are the two main players at the moment.

Hi lollie...hope you don't mind me asking..I'm in a similar position (although not in my 4th yr of my IVA. I have paid 27 payments and 33 to go!) Was you a 1st time buyer or did you sell your property and then have a joint mortgage.

I am looking to do this but don't know if my creditors will go for it.
