Hi Everyone, It's been ages since my last post and I'm 5 months into my IVA. This is what's happened since my last post. My 17 year old son has got into serious trouble with the police which doesn't bode well when looking for work. He's not been to court yet but that will happen during early summer I would think. He is low in mood and I'm worried about his future. Our youngest dog decided to go on an adventure and got picked up by the dog warden, we haven't picked her up yet because it will cost 120.00 and 11.00 for the 3 days they've looked after her. I defaulted my payments for council tax before the IVA started and didn't think to add it at the time so I have an attachment of earnings, its been really tough but nearly paid up for that. My health is suffering at the moment, I'm full of cold and I'm sure I'm menopausal hot flushes, joint aches, lack of concentration (hehe! the joys of womanhood again!) On the plus side I've kept up my IVA payments even though originally they wanted to raise my payments by 80-150 per month, no chance of that happening though because I just don't have it. I do try to keep optimistic though as I'm generally a happy person [;)]. I remind myself that I'm alive and normally well, I have a roof over my head my job is secure (I hope) and most of all my children are healthy. I need to get my son on the right tracks (it's time's like this when national service may have helped) I don't know how but I'll keep trying. Sorry about ranting, I'll try to make my next post lighter reading. X

Hi Alby, can empathise with you about your son, contact me off forum if you want as my son went through his troubled times too. He will hopefully come out the other end positively.
Glad you're keeping your IVA going and I do hope you get your little doggy back soon, bless him/her.
You're healthy (apart from menopausal symptoms!)they're the important things as you say. Try and stay positive and remember we're all here for support and advice x

Hi Alby, sorry to hear of your probs but thats what the forums for. Get everything off your chest and air your feelings. We all do at some time [;)]
Aww I hope you get your dog back soon [:(]
As for your son, I imagine your worried and if he's in a low mood, hopefully he's realised what he's done. He won't be the first 17 yr old to get in trouble, but I hope he gets back on the right track. Is there any support for him professionally?
You're doing well coping with everything and the IVA and the stress can add to any health probs. So please don't bottle it up.
Keep posting and I hope it all works out for you xx

Hi, thanks for your replies everyone. I've got my dog back and before I saw your message kallis. I had a ring and sold it to get the money for the fees. I'm going to go and try to add you to frugal friends lol! I don't know how but i'll give it a go. I am trying to encourage my son to join the forces (something I thought I'd never do). He needs to turn his life around and learn self disipline. I don't know if they'll even take him if he has a criminal record. Anyways I'm off now to attempt frugal friends. X
