Well i didn't think it was possible twelve months ago but all the christmas food is stocked and the presents have been bought and it was all paid for in full with the hard earned cash we have worked for throughout the last six months since the iva was approved...!!!!
obviously there was a few areas where we had to really budget....point in case i used to have a bottle of champange on xmas day but a bottle of jacobs creek rose at £5 will taste all the nicer knowing that i will not be dreading the bills of last year ariving in january..i remember that this time last year i was stressing so much with bills and was not enjoying life at all,one year on and my life is soooooo much different for the better...I still cant believe i have escaped the vicious circle of credit and loans. To everyone of you who write on here and help out people who are at the lowest point a big thank you, personally you will never quite get what you all meant to me when i thought my world was crumbling.....THANK YOU SO MUCH.....
Well everyone i hope you all have a fantastic xmas and a great new year and to all the guys waiting for iva's try not to stress too much and just enjoy your xmas and be safe in the knowledge that the debts should all be sorted soon.

Happy christmas friends xxx

The brilliant thing about having grandkids that age, is that they really don't care how much money you have spent on them!

Graham - excellent post. Must admit that we have splashed out on champers this year as it was only a tenner a bottle at Asda, plus we get discount, so even better!

Have a brilliant Christmas.

Here here, Graham.
We are in our 3yr now and this year is the 1st one that we have splashed out (not too much though) as we have my husbands youngest daughter with us (1st xmas all together in 7/8yrs).
It's such a lovely feeling knowing we've used our money and not someone elses.

Merry Xmas one and all and may 2010 prove prosperous for us all. xxxxxxx

great post graham happy xmas from me to you all,i,m having my first debt free xmas, for what seems a millenium.funnily enough this is the first xmas since my iva complete, but it does,nt seem much different than while in the iva because ive learnt to pay and am now used to cash only.so obviously more disposable income available but you still budget.hope this makes sense.
