I stayed up last night refreshing my bank details to see my last payment leave at 00.07hrs. I then spent another half hour working out what I was going to spend my money on next month now that it's all mine.
Having done nothing to the house for the last five years I guess it will take priority but after that I would really love to have a break without the worry of how much money you have allocated for each day.
The five years has flown by in my opinion, my wife thinks differently, but I really do think it has been a fantastic learning curve. I will probably stay as a spendthrift grabbing bargains wherever possible but I guess that's not a bad thing. Bottle of fizz tonight then onwards and upwards.
To all those of you just starting .....persever.It is well worth it in the end.
Oh yes and thanks to everyone here on the forum I could never have got through it without all the help and advice given along the way. Many thanks and I promise to keep in touch.

Just the completion cert to wait for from Stepchange, so I'll keep you posted as to length of time it takes.

:-)

Many congratulations Stirling.

We are with Stepchange and its going fairly quickly most of the time!!

Look foward to seeing how long your cert takes to come through.

Did you have to do anything about the PPi? We told them about a year ago we did not have any PPI and they said thats fine..end of.

Once again well done to you both and enjoy the future debt free.
