Hi Everyone not posted for a while but i have just made my 31st payment so i am over halfway in my IVA experience.
It has been OK as long as i am making the payments and doing my best Budget my Income.
Some months have been Very Good and there have been some which have been quite Tough due to unforseen circumstances.
The first year was over relatively quickly but the second year seemed like a long slog but now i am over halfway i am starting to countdown
31 months in 29 to go!!

We're at exactly the same stage. I've made my 31st payment today. Like you I've had good and bad months and my first year well I try and forget it, however, things appear to have calmed down *touches wood* and the importance of contingency which I've never had the chance to accrue before came true on Saturday when the lid snapped off my freezer and a new one bought with cash the very same day!

Congrats on passing the halfway stage.
It's definitely a nice feeling hey? In next to no time you'll be on here celebrating the end of it, and what a feeling that will be.

I am not proud to be in an IVA but it has learnt me a lesson as before all this i was a Credit Card and Overdraft Spendthrift as i too me my thought was Its'Only Money dont worry and look where it got me.
Now!! I have become a total tightwad and realise how important the value of money is and how hard it is when you don't have any.

Unbelievable - you two are making me feel old as it doesn't seem like yesterday since we were proposing those IVAs! Downhill from now on - and in Lesley's case, you have done so well bearing in mind all of the things you have had to endure.
Glass of fizzy stuff on Saturday!!

Congrats on getting over halfway. I remember reaching that stage, we are now 52 payments in with only 10 to go. This year seems to be flying by. I became a grandmother in June and can't wait to be able to treat my daughter and granddaughter next year. I don't think I will ever waste money again and will always look out for bargains. This last year will be a real struggle as we have less income, but I am determined to get to that last payment! My husband is having cardiac ablation at the end of August which involves a 4 to 5 hour procedure, we're hoping it will improve his quality of life. So we have everything to look forward to!
