Hi
I haven't posted for ages now.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to Declan DFD.Way back October 09 I was still stressing and 2 years in to IVA.Moaning lots about communication and confusion.Anyway, Declan intervened and we've had a review and despite my 'changes' all accepted and have just recieved copies of letters that have gone to creditors saying all well.Never thought i'd reach the point of not scanning this site daily and not being 100% pre occupied with iva'a[:)]It's a nice feeling. My second xmas with no debt.I have money still...and don't get paid untill end of Jan ( a minor miracle!) and I love having to and being able to budget. Was in TKMax today.Had a small amount of surplus but didn't love anything so didn't buy.Now that's truley a miracle!
It's great to see so many familiar names on here still
Cat x

What a welcome post and very deserved for Declan. You do wonder if you would have ended up with such a satisfactory position if you had not been a forum member and Declan did not dedicate some of his own time to help DFD clients on this very valuable forum.
Well done to all!

Great news...we're with DFD too and they have been very good with us too.....not had to get Declan to intervene as yet and hopefully have to !
It is so nice to be in control and no what you have and when you can spend....we off to a family funeral this week and we have managed to pay for a travelodge overnight - not nice to go to a funeral, but it will be nice to stay in an hotel overnight !
Keep going - our debt free days are getting closer each day !

Thank you for your kind words Cat (and also Melanie, Luluj and Kallis) and I am delighted that this has been resolved for you.
I fully agree with Melanie in that this forum is invaluable. Having been able to help our own clients and also been in a position to advise other people on this forum is hugely important and as a whole this forum is of immense importance, support and help to so many people.
Thanks

We are with DFD and will be emerging from the other side next year!

I havent had to deal with Declan, but DFD have been great. We have never had any problems. A few times we have been worried and in tears (me not hubby) and the advisor at DFD has spoken to me assured me on everything. A great company to deal with. x

It is certainly a huge advantage for firms like ourselves, Melanie, DFD, Clearstart etc to have representatives on this forum. Clients are less intimidated to contact us with problems and I know from my side that problems have been avoided because clients have felt confident to lift the phone and ring when something is not right. This is a huge help to all in the long run.

I fully agree with you Michael. Knowing that you can come on to this forum with a question and getting a response either from the company representative or other forum users / experts is an invaluable tool for everyone.
Thanks

It is brilliant that we have so many professional experts who post on here. They allay a lot of fears, particularly for their own clients.
The forum would be a poorer place without them.
