I was told today that my IVA was accepted only to be told half hour later it had to be adjourned as one of the debts was in joint names and creditor needed husbands proposal. Im gutted. waited all day for result and then this happens. Just my luck. Have to wait another week for next meeting. Dont understand why proposal wasn't sent but another week of nail biting to get the outcome. Has this happened to anyone else out there?.

Hi We had the same thing happen to us - Approved then because of a incorrect entry on the IVA proposal our IP rang back the next day to say that it had been through their audit section and had to be cancelled and another meeting called with three weeks notice! Then we had an adjounment of two weeks then it was approved again! Stressed or what!? But once its all approved you forget about the hassel at the time and enjoy life again! Keep strong and I'm sure everything will be OK.
Sending positive thoughts your way

Thanks for that. It's bad enough the waiting, but when it's adjourned it makes you start doubting again. Anyway i'll bear in mind what you've said and hopefully!!!

Hi
Strange that both your proposals did not have meetings concurrently.
I'm sure that you will be ok but it's going to be a long week for you

As far as i know the meetings were held concurrently, however ip said that one creditor who we have a joint a/c with had voted for me but had not for my husband as they hadnt received his proposal. The meeting was held again Friday, but again was adjourned as they still hadn,t received it.It was being dealt with by TIX.IP has faxed it to them and meeting is scheduled for tomorrow. I am really nervous as i feel that things have gone wrong somewhere. We received copies of voting for both meetings, last one showed that tix had voted for halifax loan, IF loan and halifax bank charges. They had not voted for Hlifax credit card.Im assuming this is the problem.
If they dont vote in our favour my husbands proposal wont reach the 75%.

It has happened on the forum before, I remember a couple of people having to wait a couple of weeks as the creditors hadnt voted. I just hope you'll get an answer very soon, poor you, life must feel like its been on hold for ever.
