Hi

I have been in my IVA for 2 years now and have only recently joined the forum. Things have been going relatively well for me and I have been able to keep up my payments so far as agreed.

However I am now thinking sbout the possibility of moving out of my parents house as a really good promotion opportunity has come up at work.

What I am unclear on is that if I earn several thousand pounds more but can account for this through increased living costs will my IVA payments be increased?

If I get the promotion I don't plan to move out straight away so can I increase the payments for a time and then revert back to my original payments as my living costs increase?

I must admit I had never considered a good promotion or movning out of my parents when I took out my IVA.

Any advice is much appreciated.

This is not an unusual problem and can be normally solved by chatting to your IP. It is accepted that there comes a time when you have to fly the nest and as it does not impact on your IVA payments it should not be a problem.

However, your IP would know better the exact conditions of your IVA so it would be essential to speak to him or her. But, if you are taking this promotion to pay for the increased costs of living away from home or there are any problems at home there should be no issue at all.

Doesn't matter! It's been answered, which is the main point.

I have deleted the other thread as it is a duplicate.
