What a pain Angela!

when I entered my IVA I cancelled all my standing orders and direct debits and now pay everything by card over the phone,or by good old fashioned cheque...it is a bit of a pain, but I always know exactly whats in my account and never get nasty surprises like wrong amounts taken out,or direct debits paid twice! We all know how hard it is to get money back once the banks have taken it!

Nightmare!! If you contact hubby's employer they should be able to tell you when and where the payment was sent, that way you know where to look.(be quick if it goes into lloyds!)

I tried to cancel a bank direct debit once, which was for a loan with the same bank and they said "oouh noo..we cant cancel a direct debit to ourselves!!"

Good luck..

Hi angela

I woke up to a lovely email from work this morning (I am having a long break using some holiday, so not gone back yet[:)]) Saying that something was wrong with the bank transfer system and wages should have gone in today and will now not go in untill 27th. This affects my rent and iva payment which are both due out tommorrow, I have just phoned the co op and in there every helpful style they have moved my standing orders untill the 28th to save any charges.

Like everyone says it must be the curse of the bank holiday[:(]
I know we can't have been warned as it was Easter but a lot of people at work today will be phoning thier banks....

Just to back this up our clients report that they also get what they consider to be surprisingly good service from the Co-Op Bank.

We're pleased to advise potential clients to contact them.
