I am in the final year of my IVA and will soon have to have my home valued to release 75% of the equity.I do not anticipate there will be a lot of equity to release-possibly £10,000, or so.In your opinion if I wished to sell the property , rather than re-mortgage, could I offer the equity as a final settlement and end the IVA immediately? Also I have 2 endowment policies linked to my mortgage which I do not want to reliquish.Originally, the IP refused to allow my creditors access to the endowments as I needed them to pay off the mortgage. Can I be forced to relinquish them if I sell up?

Hi steve and welcome to the forum

Your IP will not mind how the money is released, so if you want to sell the property then this is your choice.

I am suprised that creditors allowed the endowment policies to be excluded from the IVA, but if that is the case they are yours to do as you see fit.
