my friend has just emigrated to aus and is thinking of declaring himself bankrupt in uk when he comes back to visit july...will this affect his emigration status and ability to get credit in aus?

That will need to be checked with the immigration authority in Australia, but my gut feel is that it will be unlikely to affecthis application for residency.
If he is declaring himself bankrupt in the UK, is getting credit in Australia a good idea?
