Breach notice from Santander

Last year I was in a DMP, this year my provider advised I would be better off in an IVA. The chairman's meeting was held on the 1st May. All agreed. And everything was set up, and the DMP closed.

On 30th May I received 2 letters from Santander saying I was in breach of my "agreement" (they didn't specify DMP or IVA). As I was £14 short on the payment - very odd.

The letters went on to say if I didn't pay this amount within 14 days they would seek the whole balance. The letter was dated 22nd May. I can only assume the post was slow that week.

They also state they will notify the credit reference agencies of the breach within 28 days.

I have forwarded these to my provider but haven't heard back yet. Although on checking my credit report (which obviously went down when the IVA was logged), Santander have already logged it with the credit reference agencies (on the 28th May).

Is there anything I need to do? According to their timeline I now only have 2 days.

Get in touch with Santander and tell them you are in an IVA and they can do nothing. Make sure that any defaults are are dated back to the start of the IVA.If you have a copy of your IVA agreement then I would send them a copy of it.
