Hi there,
I have started IVA 3 years ago and I have 2 more years to go. When my IVA finishes we are going to move to a new place either buy or rent, my husband hasn’t got IVA and he’s got a good credit.
The question is can I get my salary to be paid to his account after IVA so the mortgage lender or the land lord if we rent do the credit check only on his account. My salary is more than my husband so it’s good to include mine if we rent or mortgage? I’m really stressing about this as my IVA is something I kept to myself.

I don't see any problem with you having your salary paid into your husbands account, as long as your IVA payment is made it should be ok and you can explain to your IP the reasons behind your doing it at your review.

If, as you say, this is done after the IVA has concluded it will be of no interest to your, then, former IP. However, your reasons for doing this will not wash as credit checks will be run on each tenant / purchaser as individuals, regardless of where the money comes from or goes, and your IVA will be flagged until your credit files clear down, 6 years from the start date.

I would wait till the 6th anniversary before looking to move. Use the time between end of iva and anniversary to gather a deposit together that you can then use.

Having your salary paid into your husband's account won't bear any benefits as foggy has explained.

I would definitely seek the support of a expert in mortgages for those with past credit issues. Even though your husband may not have credit issues, you may continue to find hurdles after your iva concludes.
