Can I join a credit union after an IVA?

Can I join a credit union after an IVA? I closed previous account prior to starting the IVA. I complete it in April 2022

It will all depend on the credit union although I think they will credit check you and I would doubt they will accept you but I could be wrong.

I imagine that you will have to wait until your credit records clear up ( at least 6 years from the IVA start ). Credit Unions are very IVA averse.
