Don't see any problems as your allowance will go straight to the dealer. Just let your IP know.

Are you planning on leasing a scooter through Motability instead of getting the Allowance?
Or to use the Allowance to pay a loan from some other provider?
Or are you getting a backdated lump sum which you will use to buy the scooter?
How have you been managing the IVA payments on your pension? Do you have a house with equity?

Thinking about it and re-reading the original post, is it attendance allowance or PIP you are going to receive?

Hi,
I see no issue here whatever. Attendance Allowance in an IVA is treated the same way as PIP, i.e. disregarded as a source of income with which it may be possible to use to pay the debts, therefore, whatever you decide, it is entirely up to you how you spend the money.
It is my opinion that nay backdated AA you receive is also yours to keep for exactly the same reasons.
Kindest regards.
