Getting cleaned up - year 5

Currently a hypothetical question but if via equity release you finish IVA at year 5 and receive your completion certificate what steps are recommended for improving your credit score. I would look to limit credit for day to day life - the ultimate goal is to move home as soon as circumstances permit. I am aware that it is after the 6th anniversary the IVA drops off the credit file. Any experiences or advice would be appreciated or is it simply a case of working with a knowledgable mortgage broker who deals with those who have completed an IVA?

Being on electoral role, Mobile phone contracts, and occasional use of a credit card to buy something each month maybe but pay it off will all help.
Most importantly for me is the use of an expert mortgage broker with experience of helping those in past ivas. Both Ryan and or Shaun on the forum would be a good starting point- I can personally vouch for Ryan.

For general things to do with credit records have a read of my article here:

As for mortgages after an IVA an experienced broker can be worth their weight in gold --- fortunately the pair mentioned by luluj, above, are on the skinny side

....so not too much gold !!!
