I’m on the verge of getting an IVA
When my car insurance is due in January 2022 will I still be able to pay monthly !?
Will the insurers now reject me as I can’t afford to pay off in one hit but I need my car

Hi,
If you remain with your original company you may be ok. It is all down to individual insurance companies.

I was with Direct Line through my IVA and always paid monthly with no issues. As with everything, though, companies do differ.

I was with diamond at the beginning of my iva and have just recently switched to 1st central and pay monthly I had no issues changing over but I think it depends on different insurance companies , Iv also just upgraded my phone with the same mobile provider and switched over to a different broadband and landline company , im nearly a year into my iva and regarding swapping over to different utility companies on a monthly payment basis Iv had no issues at all if that helps

Encouraging news from Lauren923 for posters in this position ... Good to hear there is potential for monthly payments, but as others have said it will be dependent on individual circumstances

Anything to do with Virgin stay away from as they do continuous credit checks.

I upgraded my mobile with O2 during my IVA with no problem and the same with Sky (I had the full package, cheapest tv plus broadband and phone) and I also had no problems with my utilities (think I changed once) .
