Hi my IVA was moved to Ebenegate last Novemenber. I have been making payments by direct debit since the IVA started 3 years ago. Ebenegate are now demanding that I change the way I pay them to a Recurring Card Payments (RCP). I am not happy at doing this because I feel that they will be able to change my payment amount when ever they want. I am right in thinking this and do I have to change my payment method to Recurring Card Payments?

No, if your IVA states you pay by DD they cannot make you change and I would never allow recurring payments - too many problems can occur.

Stick to your guns and refuse.

Thanks kallis3. Ebenegate just seem to be bullies. They tried to increase my payments and could not provide evidence why the increase when my income had reduced. I put a formal complaint in about that and heard nothing since and my payments have remained the same thankfully. Look s like I will have to submit another formal complaint. Stress I do not need in the current climate.

Ask them for a new I&E if you are not satisfied with their figures but you do not have to alter your payment arrangements.
