Hi all,

I am new to iva and I would like to ask you about something,

I have an account ain with HSBC salary Goes to it, all direct debits and iva use it.

And now as for things like: petrol, food, gas and electricity (top up keys) hobby and probably something else I will pay by cash. So in this case if I can be reasonable I can save some money, I do not want to put it back on my account, rather have other one to keep them for emergencies, no matter if its going to be 5,20 or 50 monthly.

What is the best bank, with good mobile app which I could use and keep it away from IVA?

Yorkshire Building Society (NOT Yorkshire Bank) have online 'e-accounts'. I used a co-op cashminder for 'overflow' funds.

I would advocate caution with HSBC --- they do have a history of closing down accounts of customers in IVA's, often without notice.

Hi foggy, thanks for an answer I will check That Yorkshire Building Society.

Regarding HSBC I am their new customer and I do not owe them anything. I am going to contact them and ask for writen statement that they will not close it.

In this case what bank should I use with decent mobile banking? My creditors were tsbc and lloyds so cannot use them.

You could try Nationwide or Barclays but I also advise caution about HSBC.
