Hi,

IVA fully off Register, Credit Reports (including Defaults) Jan 8th 2020. One of my Creditors was Barclays, if I am to apply for credit for a Laptop the credit is done by Barclays, will any of their internal records they keep stop me getting credit with them...?

Kind Regards

Maybe .. maybe not. Depends on the individual creditors. I have a credit card with Halifax now, and my previous Halifax credit card, included in my IVA, was with Halifax. So some do re-lend to previous defaulters.

Use a card that does a soft search which does not impact on your credit record.

Lenders' processes are (surprisingly) actually often not that 'joined up'! It's no guarantee but I'd be inclined to give it a go - they can only say no! BTW No prizes for asking which team you support I don't suppose?
