Both Shaun and Ryan have vast experience of placing mortgages for ex-IVA'ers --- however, the chances are far better once you have a clear record --- and interest rates far more attractive. You are already limiting your choices with HtB, so I would say it would be better to wait out the few months to get more choice --- but Ryan and Shaun are the ones better placed to advise.

My bank (Co-Op) waited until the credit file cleared, then offered me a credit card at the same time !

Hi Flavour69,
There is something wrong here, if you have Defaults dated after the date you went in to an IVA, these need to be amended.
What date did your IVA start?

Hi Ryan
I contacted all the creditors in question between August 2019 and September 2019 to amend their records.
On my credit file now the default date of the accounts are showing at 09/09/14 which is the date I entered into the IVA. So in turn my 6th Anniversary will be 09/09/20.

I applied for, and used, a Vanquis for a while ( still have it, just don't use it). It is a bit of a 'two edged sword' in that, everyone knows you have had problems if you have a credit builder on your files --- that said, people eith 'problems' are fast becoming the norm !
