Advice on PPI claims post IVA completion

I got my completion Certificate January 2017, they did all the PPI checks and received funds but I got a letter from a company saying I could claim PPI back from IVAs.

Long story short I got a letter saying I have PPI from a old catalogue account and it totals nearly £6,00. It has gone to the IVA company and said they are keeping it yet I got a letter from PPI specialist saying they are sending me a cheque in my name which I obviously have not got but IVA have taken.

If they have sent a cheque in my name how will the IVA company cash it and why have they taken all of it. I paid into my IVA for 7 years and never missed a payment, it all seems so unfair.

Can anyone advise

They will ask for a replacement cq to be sent.

Did you pay your total debts and interest and costs off in full?

If not then the PPI belongs to the IVA.

The law is such that PPI refunds do belong to the former IVA for the benefit of former creditors. This has recently been ratified in the Appeals Court. I would be wary of the advice of any "PPI Specialist" who gets 40% commission (plus VAT) !
