credit score!

Can not believe what Ive just seen.
Completed my IVA in October 2018.
Got a credit card with a small limit and used it sensibly and paid it off.
Have gradually seen credit score rise and defaulted accounts fall off.
My Experian score today is 951/999!
We are in contact with select about a mortgage to buy a new home and feel genuinely calm and looking forward to the future.
For those in similar position be patient. It will be worth it in the end. Never imagined having a ‘good’ credit rating and clear report.

This is amazing and so true!

Really pleased for you and hope to follow in the same footsteps, I completed my 6th year 2 weeks ago and saw all the defaults fall off (2 had to be forced off after numerous calls with the creditor then a swift call to Equifax) and my score is now "fair/good" across the board.

What a feeling!!!

Have a fab day x

Hi! This is brilliant to hear well done!

I am just waiting for mine to come through the post so I can start improving my rating also! I got my completion certificate in April!

May I ask what you mean by "Have gradually seen credit score rise and defaulted accounts fall off."
Where can I see mine "fall off"

Sorry its probably an answer I should know but I trust yours!

Thank you very much and I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Katie,

Any accounts that were included under the IVA should have a default issued against them with the IVA start date as the default date - the defaulted accounts will then come off the reports 6 years after that date.

Regards

You won't actually see them fall off --- they and the accounts relating to them will simply disappear once they are 6 years old.

Hi Katie
As said already, all the accounts which were included in our IVA had dates around the time we started IVA so they disappeared from our credit report.
only accounts on there now are what we have...current account, a credit card, mortgage, the loan we got for equity release and mobile phone contract.
620/700 with totally money
951/999 with Experian
Clean credit report with no negative factors, late payments or default accounts.

Waiting to speak to Select on thursday about mortgage options, house will hopefully go on the market in next few weeks once the odd jobs weve let slip for 5 years are done, and then we can start viewing new homes.

Cant believe how quickly things improve.

IVa has been our saviour as would never be in this situation if hadnt done an IVA.
