I’m really nervous got my IVA meeting today with creditors. I haven’t heard anything from cf only an email to say everything so far is going as planned. What does that mean?

Sounds positive to me. What time is your meeting?

CF are notorious for bad communications, so don't panic if they don't get back to you early on -- you might have to do the chasing !

Best of luck.

How did you get on ? How long was it from your proposal being sent to the meeting ?

Hultonlady19 ... it normally takes around 6 - 8 weeks in total from first contact to creditors meeting, sometimes longer depending on individual circumstances

My proposal was sent 20th June and meeting set for 8th July - this after my initial call on 17th June - is this a good sign that things are moving quickly or just the norm ?

Standard time lapse twixt signing and returning the proposal and the meeting. Three days between the first call and draft proposal is a tad worrying.

My debt is very straightforward all credit cards, loan and overdraft, no assets and sent them everything they needed within an hour - Aperture I believe are IVA factories and they seem to have a very quick process if it’s straightforward - I’m hoping ! Unfortunately I have everyday loans in the situation so will be crossing everything the waiting will be so hard as I really don’t know what to do if it’s turned down. BC not an option and a DM may still mean court orders which I can’t have happen.

Debt management is nothing to do with the courts. It is an informal agreement. You may find that interest is frozen but it's not always a done deal.

Been scanning through the forum all week as worried about my iva decision in a couple of week to point of being a wreck and noticed someone put on about having a go on the lottery and it being on the bank statements and it being rejected and I’ve worked myself up as I had a couple of goes around £10 each time for about 3 weeks and it’s on the statement will this now cause natwest or others to vote no ??

Shouldn't be an issue.

Do some creditors vote before the meeting ? Do they let you know if they do ? Are modifications sometimes requested before the vote so you can consider them ?

Some creditors do vote early, but not all IPs will tell you. They will only look at proposed modifications when they know if the creditor involved has the voting clout.
