Hi all,

So the EX wife has decided to screw me over once again !

I currently pay 300 a month to her for two children had this agreement for 14 months and before i entered an IVA.
She has now contacted the CMS to get even more money from me( she knows about my IVA). The CMS are demanding i pay £448.04 a month.
I explained my position and IVA, they basically said we don't care, you're paying that amount, the ex could win millions but you still have to pay and if not we'll take it from your wages. Can see why men quit their jobs or commit suicide over it!

Anyway... I've contacted my IP and sent proof of demands just awaiting response. Just needed a rant to be honest because this is all getting too much now

Always a difficult situation to advise on here on the forum. Hopefully your IP will be back in contact with you quickly before the automatic take from wages occurs and a way forward can be agreed. It may mean an extension to your IVA.

The most important thing here is the love for your children and the need to ensure they do not suffer from the financial challenges you are faced with.

so I have just had the same bombshell dropped on me I currently pay £280 a month to which we both agreed was fair i also contributte in other ways uniforms xmas shoes food shops and just genrally helping out.
i have recently increased my salary to which she has got wind of and has now demanded more money i am currently in a iva living with parents as a result from the break up and struggling to get my# life back on track.
she has demanded i pay £420 a month.

i have no idea myself where to turn for help i have contacted my iva and have contacted citzens advice still awaiting a response.

any advice would be helpfull

Is the £420 a month calculated from CSA/CMS or just what the ex wants? Gov website has a calculator where you put in how many children you have, how many nights you have them and income etc. Was pretty accurate however unfair it seems to be! So i would try that and hopefully would be lower than what she wants. Be aware that CMS are entitled to take upto 40% of your pay and do not care what living expenses you have.It's a horrible circle my friend. Us men get the sh*t end of the stick when it relationships end. usually homeless with the woman getting everything! And we're expected to pay her too. Can see why men commit suicide over it..You're not alone tho !

So My IP has came back to me. I have a two month payment break to resolve my change in circumstance. However i can't see how this will help me as the £448 is required every month from now on
