I would like to open an online savings account with the Post Office. Will this be a problem with an IVA showing on my credit file? It's been satisfied since 2014 but will obviously stay on my file until 2020.

You should be OK for a savings account, depending on the PO's own criteria. I opened an online saver with the Yorkshire Building Society during my IVA with no issues.
