PPI claim and iva

Back in 2005 I ran into financial difficulties and took out an iva with a company called Grant Thornton. A couple of weeks ago Barclaycard wrote to me explaining that I could be entitled to a PPI pay out so naturally I went ahead with it. Today I received a letter from them saying I will be getting a refund but their records show that I'm currently in a iva and that the money would be going to my administrator.
I find this very odd as my iva was completed in 2011 and I have a certificate of completion and a letter from Grant Thornton to emphasise this. I have also checked my credit report and it makes no mention that I'm still in my iva.
I had a similar problem last year and when I contacted GT they explained to me that they have no interest in PPI claims what so ever but they made no attempt of issuing my refund to me and after several weeks of exchanging emails to no avail they stopped replying to my messages.
Has anyone else had a similar problem and is it possible to resolve it in my favour or will I be wasting my time?
Any helpful advice will be most appreciated.
