Hi, just wanted to share my experience regarding bank accounts while entering IVA. Received a letter from Nationwide( who were my current account provider and a creditor with £5000 loan), stating that they are aware of me applying for IVA and simply downgrading my FlexPlus to Basic account with all banking features available (obviously no overdraft). Amazing customer service from them I think!!!! No account freeze, no attempt to offset, great understanding and support!!! Unfortunately I already switched to Coop but just wanted to let forum users know!!! Creditors meeting at 11:30 next Thursday!!! Cheers!!!

We only ever had a basic account with NW but have since been upgraded and also have a credit card.

That's great to hear. I spoke to them today and they are sending me written confirmation that they will not freeze accounts or try to take money from them. Fantastic news as I did not want to change!
